What we like most about this sale is you can travel to any destination that British Airways serves. So while you may choose to fly from Chicago to London for your first trip, you can use your companion ticket to fly from Chicago to Moscow in business class, a route that usually goes for at least $3000!

Air New Zealand is offering free stopovers in New Zealand on flights to Australia. You can also stopover in South Pacific destinations, such as Cook Islands, Samoa or Tonga for $100 each stop.

American Airlines just released a huge Caribbean & Mexico Sale from cities across the U.S.  There are several great deals, but we were shocked to see flights to Cabo San Lucas from Los Angeles for just $95 each way!

Travel is valid Sept. 2-Dec. 10.  You must book by Sept. 12.

One of my favorite websites for great travel information and deals is Flyertalk.com. Flyertalk, introduced back in 1995, isn’t just for frequent fliers and frequent hotel guests. Don’t let the mileage runs and first class flyers scare you off; this is my first choice site for information and amazing leads.

Flyertalk is organized as a bunch of interactive discussion boards. I personally like their Hotel Deals page. One of the most recent posts on the board boasts a free $50 gas card with 3 night booking through hotels.com. That nifty benefit might just pay for part of your weekender out of town. You can also save $35 on Orbitz for your travel through the end of the year. That’s not so “last minute”, but that doesn’t mean you can’t set sail tomorrow and several times before you’re sipping champagne and ringing in the new year.

Mileage run, another huge perk of flyertalk, posts incorrect airline fares and hotel rooms that work in your favor. For instance, a hotel accidentally posted a $25 presidential suite per night. Flyertalk fans immediately posted the super cheap price which in some cases the hotel honored. But you can’t sit on these long before they are booked by your new fellow flyertalk friends and are GONE!

This is totally unrelated, but it’s one of my favorite posts I have ever read on flyertalk. Check out how this guy racked up miles while renting cars….lots of them….all at the same time.
